Building ShowMyBio with evidence gates
Why the public shell can be visible while checkout, account access, and launch claims stay closed until their full lifecycle is verified.
A polished page is only the visible edge
A link-in-bio product looks simple from the outside. Behind the page are identity ownership, drafts and publication, media safety, analytics quality, domains, billing, export, deletion, and abuse handling. ShowMyBio treats those boundaries as part of the product instead of operational cleanup for later.
That is why the marketing surface distinguishes launch scope from live capability. A defined feature can be shown as planned; it is called ready only after its authorization, persistence, failure, accessibility, provider, and deployed checks pass.
What is already fixed
The public launch prices are Starter at USD 5 monthly or 48 annually for one profile, and Pro at USD 12 monthly or 120 annually per five-profile pack. Both target a 14-day trial. Those values exist in a test-only Stripe catalog, while live charges remain disabled.
The private source repository, Vercel project, separate Neon development and production branches, and Singapore public-media store are provisioned. Provider credentials are separated by environment and are never recorded in repository documentation.
What remains deliberately closed
Public account access waits for a dedicated Clerk application, including production domain, verified-email, recovery, session, and webhook evidence. Checkout waits for durable webhook idempotency, entitlement enforcement, customer-portal behavior, cancellation, trial conversion, failure recovery, and deployed replay checks.
The ShowMyBio name is also still a working name. A public trademark knockout found meaningful historical category overlap, so the code and provider configuration remain renameable and paid brand promotion stays blocked pending a deliberate decision.
